Imprimem paisagens, sensações, viagens, revelando memórias em preto e branco ou colorido, pelos olhos de alguém que tem a água salgada como habitat - e que, talvez por isso, saiba como ninguém mergulhar na subjetividade das pessoas e lugares por onde passa.

Carioca nascida em 88, Bá usa a fotografia analógica como linguagem desde 2008 e trabalha com câmeras herdadas da sua família. Tem o coração sensível à simplicidade e à beleza da vida nos seus pequenos gestos, assim como os cristais de prata de cada um dos seus filmes de 35 milímetros são sensíveis à luz. 

Seus registros, então, são uma breve captura desse estar em movimento, que também se divide entre outros fazeres com afeto, como a cozinha e os agitos culturais - mas sempre, sempre mesmo, vem acompanhado de uma câmera nas mãos.

Here, affection and photography intertwine.

 

They imprint landscapes, sensations, and journeys, revealing memories in black and white or in color, through the eyes of someone whose natural habitat is saltwater — and who, perhaps because of that, knows how to dive deeply into the subjectivity of the people and places she encounters.

 

Born in Rio in 1988, Bá has been using analog photography as her language since 2008, working with cameras inherited from her family. Her heart is attuned to the simplicity and beauty found in small gestures, just as the silver crystals in each of her 35mm films are sensitive to light.

 

Her images are fleeting captures of a life in motion, one that also unfolds through other forms of making with care — like cooking and cultural gatherings — but always, always, with a camera in hand.
